Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York. Construction of the bridge began in 1901, it was opened in 1909 and in 1912 the bridge was finished. Manhattan Bridge was designed by Leon Moisseiff who has also designed the George Washington Bridge and the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge.
