Ambassador Bridge is a suspension bridge that connects Detroit, Michigan in the United States with Windsor in Ontario, Canada. Construction of the bridge started in 1927 and in 1929 the bridge was finished. The Ambassador Bridge is 2286 meters long and the main span is 564 meters. The bridge was the world's largest suspension bridge until the George Washington Bridge opened in 1931. The bridge is made of 21,000 tons of steel.
