Aamodt bridge was built first of Drammenselva Buskerud in 1851. The bridge is one of the earliest chain suspension bridges in Norway. The bridge was dismantled due to poor condition and it was donated to Oslo city. Aamodt bridge located today at Grünerløkka in Oslo and crosses Akerselva.
On the right pillar there is an inscription which reads:
"Hundred men I can bear, but fails during rhythmic march."
