Aquitaine Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the Garonne River in Bordeaux, France. The traffic in the city was congested, there were long plans to build a bridge. In 1954, it was decided to build the bridge north of the city. Construction of the bridge began in 1960 and it opened to traffic in 1967. The bridge is 1,776 meters long, with a main span of 394 metres. The bridge towers are 103 meters high
